Your partner team: seats, invites and roles

Invite a colleague to your firm's partner login, see who is invited and who is active, and understand why a seat is another way in and never a second partner identity. Joining your partner team gives the partner portal; a seat in your workspace is the owner's decision under Partner seats.

Partner

Team lists everyone with a seat on your firm’s partner login. A firm has one partner identity, one set of earnings and one statement. A colleague’s seat is another way in, never a second partner.

Inviting a colleague

  • An owner or admin picks a role, types the colleague’s email and sends the invite.
  • If the invite could not be emailed, the screen says so and offers the link to copy, so the invite is never silently lost.
  • “Invited” means they have not signed up with that email yet. “Active” means they can sign in today.

The partner login is not a seat in your workspace

  • A colleague who accepts the invite gets the partner portal. Whether they also get a seat in your firm’s own Finocket workspace is a separate decision for the workspace owner.
  • The owner makes it under Partner seats on Settings → Team Members: approve a colleague who wants a seat, keep a seat they already have, or remove it. A seat that was never approved is marked “Not approved” until the owner decides.
  • Removing a workspace seat there never takes away their partner portal access.

Team & roles explains the Partner seats section, including what it shows while approval tracking is not yet switched on.

Who can do what

  • An owner or admin sees the invite form and the revoke action, and is the only one who can accept new terms for the firm.
  • A member sees the same roster read-only, and the team performance row that is their own.
  • Revoking a seat removes that person’s access; it asks you to confirm first.

What it refuses to do

  • It does not split earnings between seats. Every signup and paying customer is credited to the firm.
  • It does not let a member invite or remove anyone.

Frequently asked questions

Does each colleague earn separately?

No. A firm has one set of earnings and one statement; every signup and paying customer is credited to the firm.

Who can invite or remove a seat?

Only an owner or admin. A member sees the roster read-only.

Does joining our partner team give someone a seat in our workspace?

They get the partner portal. A seat in your firm's own workspace is the workspace owner's call, made under Partner seats on Settings, Team Members: approve a request, keep a seat or remove it. While approval tracking is not yet switched on, someone who joins can still be given a seat automatically; it shows there as Not approved until the owner decides.
