Which of your clients got stuck

How far each workspace you set up has got through its own setup checklist, what the client is stuck on, and how a nudge reaches them — setup progress, whether they are onboarded, and the state of their imports and certificates, never their figures or their books.

Partner

Setting a client's workspace up is the easy half. Whether they stay is decided in the fortnight after, and until now you had no way to see it. Client setup health shows how far each workspace you created has got through its own setup checklist, so you know who to call first.

Each client you set up, how far they have got, and what they are stuck on. (desktop view)

What the numbers mean

  • Setup is a count of the steps the client has ticked off on their own checklist: 2 of 10 means they marked two done. It is their record of where they are, not our guess from their activity.
  • Stuck on names the first step they have not done. That is the next thing to help them with, and it is usually the whole conversation.
  • The pill beside the name is how recently anyone in that workspace opened Finocket. More than a week and it turns red.
  • The three tiles at the top count your clients, how many have not moved in a week, and the average completion across all of them.

Onboarding and imports

Under each client you also see whether they are onboarded, whether their past books have been imported, how many import jobs are open or waiting on the client, and whether the books are certified.

  • Certified means an import was reconciled and a certificate was issued for it that has not since been voided. A reconciled import with no certificate is not certified.
  • Nothing to import is a client who started from scratch. They are not behind on importing, because there is nothing to bring across.
  • Where a figure could not be worked out, the row says why in words, for example that import jobs are not in this database yet, or could not be read. It is never a zero, and “not certified yet” is only shown when the imports were actually looked at.

What you can see, and what you cannot

Setup progress, the date they signed up, whether they are onboarded, and the state of their imports. That is the whole list.

You do not see their invoices, their customers, their bank, their books or their figures in any form, including masked, summarised or aggregated. A workspace you created is still theirs, and provisioning it does not make you a reader of it. The screen only asks the database narrow questions about your own clients, and can only ever receive those answers back.

Nudging a client

Nudge sends the client a notice inside Finocket pointing at the step they are stuck on. If they have opted into email notifications it goes by email as well; if they have not, it stays in-app only and the button tells you so. It reads Notifications off rather than pretending something was delivered.

  • A client whose setup is complete cannot be nudged, so the button is off.
  • The button reports what actually happened: Nudged when it went out, Notifications off when nothing could be delivered, and Try again when the send itself failed.

Which clients appear here

Every workspace you provisioned through Client workspaces, whatever kind of partner you are. A referral affiliate who set one up is as entitled to see whether that client got stuck as a reseller is.

If you have not provisioned any yet the page says so and offers the wizard, rather than showing an empty table you cannot interpret.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see my client's invoices or bank?

No. The screen asks for setup progress, the signup date, whether they are onboarded and the state of their imports and certificates, and that is all it can receive. Provisioning a workspace does not make you a reader of it.

It says import jobs are not in this database yet - is my client's import lost?

No. It means the imports inbox has not been switched on for the database yet, so no client can have an import job to count. The row says so in words instead of showing a zero, and it clears by itself once the inbox is on.

A client shows 0 of 10 — is the page broken?

No, that is a real state: they have signed up and ticked nothing off yet. It is the row where a call still changes the outcome.

I pressed Nudge and it said Notifications off.

The in-app notice was created, but that client has not opted into email, so nothing was emailed. The button says so rather than reporting a delivery that did not happen.
